THE BIBLE
We believe that the bible is the inspired
word of God and is without error in its original languages. It was written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Both
the old and new testaments (66 books) contain the mind of God concerning His plan for mankind, and is the only infallible
guide in matters pertaining to doctrine and conduct in all areas of life.
GOD
We believe that there is one God the creator and preserver of the heavens
and the earth. He is perfect in knowledge, power, and purity. He is eternally existent in three Divine persons God the Father,
God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
MANKIND
We believe that human beings are created in the image and likeness of God. Adam and Eve doubted the integrity
of God's words and disobeyed Him causing sin to come into the world, death and suffering came into the world through sin.
This has caused all people to inherit a fallen sinful nature which corrupts and distorts God's image in us. This has separated
all human beings from God. Every person is eternally lost without God and is subject to the influence of their own
fallen sinful nature.
JESUS CHRIST
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternally
pre-existent Son of God who came to earth being born of the virgin Mary and lived a sinless life. He died on the Cross to
free people from the power of sin. He rose from the dead on the third day and ascended into heaven to be seated at the right
hand of God the Father.
THE NEW BIRTH
We believe that being saved (born again) is a gift from God that cannot be earned through good works
or behavior modification. Salvation is necessary for all human beings to escape being eternally lost without God. Salvation
comes through believing in Jesus Christ,His finished work at the Cross (His death for our sins and His resurrection
).
THE POWER OF THE CROSS
We believe in the redemptive power of the Cross of Jesus Christ. The shedding of His blood on the Cross provides
cleansing from all sin and healing of mind and body for all who will put their trust in Him.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the working of the Holy Spirit dwelling inside of every believer to empower them to live a progressively
holy life.
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit promised by Jesus Christ, for all who believe receive power to
become effective witnesses to others of the reality of this new birth.
We believe in the active ministry and
gifts of the Holy Spirit as stated in 1Corinthians 12:7-11 and Ephesians 4:11-13. We believe that these ministry gifts
are given for the benefit and for the maturing of believers for service to others.
AUTHORITY
We believe in the Lordship of Jesus Christ over all people of the earth and of His absolute right to reign as king
of kings and Lord of lords over all aspects of society through the advancing of the gospel. Psalm 24:1 The earth is the Lord's
and the fullness of it, and all who dwell upon it.
CHRIST'S
RETURN
We believe in the literal return of Jesus Christ to this earth to judge the living and
the dead. At His coming the dead in Christ will rise first, and then those who are alive at His coming will be caught
up together with them to meet the Lord in the air (1Thessalonians 4:16-17).
We believe that those who are saved
will rise to spend eternity with God, and those who have died without Christ are eternally lost and will rise to
spend eternity in the lake of fire (Revelation 20:11-15).
